Makeup Mania

I have been hooked onto makeup ever since Ann introduced the wonders of makeup to me. Honestly, I'm glad she did. Now I can use it to cover up my flaws (dark circles and horrid pimples) and enhance my features. I'm not a fan of putting globs and globs of makeup on my face. I prefer a simple, subtle touch of it, preferably nude colors like browns and pinks. Purple is a favorite of mine too. And of course, there's the fantabulous eyeliner. I discovered that I'm more suited for brown eyeliners. Black color looks rather harsh on my face >.< I don't know why but black just looks really weird on me!

I can call myself a true fan of makeup. I revelled in the process of putting on my makeup. It thrills me to see what a difference it makes. Now that I started reading beauty blogs, I find myself wanting more makeup products. Brands like M.A.C. and YSL...darn...I can never get enough of them! Their products are pure temptations. Here are some of the products that I have been lusting after:

I recently developed a liking for blush and bronzers (though I do not have a bronzer...YET). I love the fact that these two products can be used to sculpture your face and make it look slimmer. Such are the wonders of makeup!!! One particular blush that caught my attention is the M.A.C. Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish. It is a gorgeous pink coral blush that makes me eager to get my paws on it. It also has a bee-yoo-tiful golden bronzey sheen that will definitely show on the cheeks. Absolute gorgeousness...*sigh* I'm a total sucker for blushers with a tint of shimmer.

Another M.A.C. blush which I have been wanting is the M.A.C. Ripe Peach Blush Ombre. This blush appealed to me because it is a pink peachy blush. The color combination is simply fabulous. Just look at that...I NEED one right now!!!

As I was browsing through pictures of makeup products, a stunning picture caught my eye. It was then when I fell in love with the Estee Lauder Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Sea Star Bronzing Blush. Love the creative design! *Reminds herself yet again that she needs a bronzer*

Alright, enough of blush and bronzers. Moving on to lip products. I have been wanting Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss ever since I saw makeup guru Michelle Phan using it. It is such a delightful baby pink color. I have always favored light colored lipgloss ranging from nudes to pinks. Dark colors are a no no for me. So naturally, this lipgloss topped my wanted list :)

Another product that has been floating in my head is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch). This product is a complexion highlighter. It is stated that it can conceal dark circles (yay), fine lines and signs of fatigue, making one's face refreshed and awakened. Sounds pretty impressive huh? The packaging is also soooo gorgeous! YSL products are usually packaged in golden. Looks really elegant. Makeup products with fabulous packaging are a plus point to me.

So yeah, those are the products that I have been wanting lately. Too bad that M.A.C. is not available in my hometown :( Or maybe it's a good thing...if not I would have gone bananas and bought a truckload of makeup. But I will get those products somehow...someday, maybe when I start working ^_^ Right now I am quite contended to ogle at these pictures....

The Journey So Far...

When I was down, you were there to cheer me up. When I was sick, you took great care of me. When I was demotivated, you filled my head with encouragement. When I was giving up, you made sure that I stood up again and faced whatever challenges that came towards me.

I seriously cannot imagine a life without my twin sister Ann. 22 years together. She has always been there for me in desperate times. Always was, always will be. So here's a poem dedicated to my dearest sister :)

So many good things come in pairs….

Like ears and socks and panda bears.
But best of all are sets of twins,
with extra laughter, double grins.

There's so much fun in having two
with twice as many points of view.
So much alike, forever linked,
and yet they're also quite distinct.

They share a birthday and a name,
But moods and tempers aren't the same.
Although at times they may dispute,
their loyalty is absolute.

From days of youth till life is done,
it's one for both and both for one.
We're all quite novel and precise,
But special folks ~
God made twice.

Thanks for always being there for me. Love you 姐姐^^

Life As It Is

Last week was one helluva a week filled with certain ups and downs. On the positive side:

Makeup. I am OBSSESSED with makeup ^_^ I had a fantastic time making up with my sister and cousin yesterday night. You see, we simply had to find a suitable look for our individual graduation pictures. Can't imagine slathering on the wrong kind of make up and looking down right hideous. 10 years down the road and you look at the pic thinking "Oh my God....who is that creature?!" Soooo don't want that to happen! The night was filled with shrieks of laughter and colors. Thankfully, all three of us managed to find colors which suit us. Ann helped a great deal. In fact, she was the one who influenced me into loving makeup. She claimed that I have graduated with flying colors in terms of putting makeup :) It is times like this that is meaningful. Having fun with your loved ones in a totally relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourself.

The downside of last week:

It all started with workshops. I'm talking about postgraduate workshops that discuss your options in the future. Not that they were bad or anything. It was more of me trying my best to figure out what is best for my future. It just so happened that I am the kind of person who is sooooo undecided about her own future. I do NOT have an actual clear idea about what I want to become . The thing is...I'm graduating soon, very soon in fact. Take Masters? Then move on to PHD? If I take Masters, what should I major into? Or should I just start working? :( Feel so lost. Suddenly, the day seemed darker and thunder clouds started to appear above my head. Hopefully everything will turn out fine in the end *fingers crossed*
