Eyeliner has become a must-have in my makeup bag. When I first began experimenting with makeup, I didn't think that eyeliner was necessary. It was just something secondary to me. But now that I have delved deeper into cosmetics, I don't think I can ever forsake my eyeliner.
Eyeliners are just wonderful. They can make your eyes appear bigger and more dramatic. Just dab some eyeliner on and your eyes are instantly transformed! As mentioned in my previous posts, I prefer dark brown eyeliners. I started with pencil liners. My first pencil liner was the relatively inexpensive Maybeline Unstoppable Smudge Proof Eyeliner in dark brown.
What I love about this eyeliner is that it does not smudge. It stays on all day and it ensures that I do not end up with panda eyes. This eyeliner also glides on smoothly. You don't have to apply a lot of pressure to get an opaque shade. Here's a swatch of the eyeliner:
Another thing that I like about this eyeliner is that you don't have to sharpen it. Sharpening pencil liners always make me wince because I feel that much of it has gone to waste with all the sharpening. But with this packaging, all you have to do is twist the upper part of the pencil liner to dispense more of it. Easy peasy.
The major flaw this product is that it has fallouts. Imagine my horror when I looked into the mirror and found that my face was sprinkled with dark brown spots. I tried to reduce the fallouts by smudging the eyeliner everytime I applied it on. Unfortunately, it did not work. The stubborn fallouts still made their grand appearance.
So in the end, I stopped using this eyeliner which is such a shame for I really liked it. I gradually moved on to gel liners and now, I am addicted to them :)
