Cheetos Craziness

What do you do when your final exams are over? In my case, it is movie time!!! My sister, cousin and I decided to have a the Lord of the Rings movie marathon. No other movie can ever beat this movie. I mean, I don't get bored of it even after watching it several times. LOTR is the greatest movie ever!

Now we all know that watching movies are made better with the presence of snacks :) So we got ourselves Cheetos!

Cheetos is really more expensive as compared to our local snacks due to the fact that it is imported. But hey, it is great to have something different once in a while. We only bought one packet as it is HUGE! It is enough to be shared among three people.

The Cheetos that we bought came in the form of mouth-watering large twisted puffs. I can't adequately describe how delicious they are! For a cheese lover like me, it tastes like heaven. It is slightly salty and soooo cheesy that I savoured every bite! Every crunch of the twisted puffs brought satisfaction. If you're a cheese person like me, then Cheetos is definitely for you.

We intended to watch ALL three of the Lord of the Rings movies but only managed to watched finish The Fellowship of the Ring and half of The Two Towers. You see, we started watching at 11pm and by the time we reached the second half of The Two Towers, we could barely keep our eyes open. It was already close to 5am at that time.

So we called it a day and went to bed. Perfect movie and perfect snack together with awesome people. What more can I ask for? :)

Rocky Road Ice-Cream

Ice-cream is one of my favourite indulgences, aside from chocolate of course :) I can never say no to vanilla, chocolate and caramel flavoured ones. As for Cookies n Cream ice-cream, I won't even hesitate to gobble it down! It is my absolute favourite of all!

So I hung out with my friends one day and we went to an ice-cream shop called The Cream & Fudge Factory. The wide array of yummy-licious flavours displayed before me left my jaw hanging. After much debating, we finally chose the Rocky Road ice-cream.

And boy am I glad that we chose that one! I mean, look at the chocolate syrup, nuts and marshmallows ♥ It is so mouth-watering, no? It was heavenly of course. Unlike some ice-creams which taste bland, this ice-cream is freaking rich and creamy.

A one scoop creation costs about Rm12.90.  My friends and I ordered the double scoop which is priced at RM18.90.

As I dug into the amazingly delicious dessert, I was reminded once again why I loved ice-cream. It brings joy and comfort. Enough said :)

Noodle Cravings

I was looking through some pictures of mine when I saw this:

Instantly, my stomach gave an almighty rumble. Just looking at it makes my mouth water! I'm a noodles person all the way. I love noodles more than rice in fact :)

Okay, back to this bowl of yummy goodness. I ate it in a shop called Face to Face Noodle House.  If I'm not wrong, it is called House Specialty Hot and Spicy Pan Mee. It is priced at RM5.60.

Basically, you'll get a bowl of noodles as shown in the picture above and you can mix in other ingredients such as dried chili and sambal. The combination is absolutely smashing! Needless to say, I gobbled it down with much relish.

I went to this shop when I was in my previous university. In my current location, I have yet to find another Face to Face Noodle House outlet :(

So the search for my perfect bowl of noodles continues...

Macaron Delight

The very thought of macarons makes my stomach growl in protest... For those of you who don't know what macarons are: A macaron is a sweet French confectionery. It is typically filled with buttercream or jam which is sandwiched between two cookies.

Macarons come in a wide variety of flavours: Vanilla, raspberry, chocolate, truffle, green tea... the list goes on. My favourite so far are the vanilla flavoured ones ^_^

I simply can't get enough of them ♥♥♥

Chocoholic

Okay, I readily admit that I am a HUGE fan of chocolates. Gimme a box of chocolates and I will demolish the whole lot of them! But that does not mean that I eat ALL types of chocolates. Dark, bitter chocolate? King's X on that people! I love milky and sweet ones, preferably those with praline. But I have to say that my all time favourite is white chocolate.

Now, if you're in search of the best chocolates, stick to Belgium chocolates. Yours truly was lucky enough to travel to Belgium recently. Naturally, I took the opportunity to buy myself some. And here's what I got:

Just looking at this picture makes me drool. It is the best white chocolate that I have ever tasted! The hazelnuts fused in it all the more enhanced its sinful taste. Simply heavenly! Needless to say, I finished it in quite a short period of time. I bought this lovely bar in a cosy chocolate shop in Brussels. The shop was located near the very famous mannekan pis (peeing little boy). Say hello to manneken pis people :)

Apart from that, I bought a box of chocolate truffles. My apologies for not having its picture. Totally forgot to snap one :( Anyways, these poor chocolates all but melted in my hotel room. The reason? The freaking heater was on and I did not turn it off. The room got kinda hot but not unbearably hot. Still, imagine my horror when I opened the box and found melted chocolate dripping out! In the end, my mum poured the chocolate into a container. So it cooled into a big chunky thing. Oh well... at least it was still edible. Can't say no to good chocolate, no?

Swensen's Earthquake Ice-Cream

Ice-cream. It makes kids happy; it makes adults happy; it makes me happy ^_^

I went to Gurney Plaza recently with my sister, mum and wacky aunts. Craving for a snack after lunch, we decided to stop by at Swensen's, a place known for its sinfully delectable ice-creams. This is my second time at Swensen's. The first time I went there, I ordered the out-of-the-world Cookie Summit which is a mountain of Cookies 'N' Cream ice-cream. Freaking tasty!

My aunt ordered a ginormous ice-cream dish known as The Earthquake. Here it is:

I must say that it is most appropriately named. I mean, it is HUGE! This earth-shaking indulgence has eight rich scoops of ice-cream and yummylicious toppings such as chocolate fudge, caramel, whipped cream and cherries. Some of the ice-cream flavours include Banana Split, Chocolate Peanut Buttercup, Sticky Chewy Chocolate and Ol' Fashioned Vanilla. Don't they all sound totally delicious? I was rather disappointed that Cookies 'N' Cream was unavailable :( That is my utmost favourite ice-cream flavour.

Anyways, we could not finish this giant Earthquake as we were simply too full to eat another bite. Such a waste...All in all, Swensen's ice-creams are definitely a treat for one's taste buds!

Food Cravings

Okay, lets admit it. Everyone has food cravings every now and then. Mine struck me when I was in the middle of doing my assignment. Suddenly, a crazily delicious image materialized in my head:

Isn't it just pure temptation? This yummylicious molten chocolate lava cake is from Chili's. I ate it for the first time during the Christmas celebrations last year in Penang. Look at that! How can I not drool when I look at this picture? Huge blob of vanilla ice-cream coated with melted chocolate. Sinfully delectable chocolate cake that oozes chocolate when you cut into it. It has that creamy melt-in-your-mouth sensation as well. Gosh, this is a lethal combination. If you're a chocoholic like me, then you will definitely pounce on this out-of-the-world chocolate lava cake!

Sadly, I wasn't just craving chocolate cake. My greedy mind just HAD to remind me that there was another delicious thing at Chili's. So here it is:

This dish is called Mushroom Jack. It is a whole freakin plate of cheese, mushrooms and chicken. I absolutely love cheese and mushrooms. So needless to say, I gobbled it down with relish! The flavour was simply FAB. Love love love it ♥

Alright, looking at these pictures ain't doing me any good. My stomach is now growling in protest :( I feel like banging my fists and demanding for both dishes! Okay, okay, I will just have to wait until I go to Chili's again to savour these wonderful cravings of mine.
